Azmuth is a thousand-year-old Galvan (the same species as Ben's Grey Matter), as well as the cranky genius who invented the Omnitrix. He originally created the Omnitrix to help people of the galaxy better understand one another, as well as to preserve the DNA of over one million species. Azmuth became disgusted when some people sought to use the Omnitrix as a weapon. He lived the life of a recluse for many years, until Ben found him when the Omnitrix desperately needed repair.
